X Deaths of Wolverine #3 delivers excellent action, plot progression, and hints at what is going on on a deeper level. It’s a little hard to believe the guy helping Moira goes from hostage to helper, but given the sci-fi elements this story is working with you’ll go with it. What makes her portion of the story work so well is how Percy unveils details about a man she works with and you slowly start to see how she’s been driven to work with a potential threat. While Wolverines are fighting, Moira’s story is developed well, giving her more to do and explaining why she’s such a threat to future Terminator Wolverine. If the last issue was the 100-meter dash, this issue is a five-minute mile with a lot more to chew on as far as story and plot. In one panel, for instance, Wolverine shoots the knees out of two attackers by pointing a severed arm holding a gun at them as it fires. There’s some insane action, too - the kind that you could blink and miss even in a comic book. There’s also a lot of mayhem when it comes to casualties and it’s great to see the level of detail Vicentini puts into every screaming face and onlooker as Wolverine dices up people. The colors by Dijjo Lima make the yellow techno look pop. The action is intense, and the Terminator Wolverine looks great. Speaking of drawing, Federico Vicentini does a fantastic job with this issue.
